Are you exhausted, feeling powerless and out of control? Is this madness making you cynical, overly negative, disillusioned and depleted? 

Many professionals find themselves burnt out, overwhelmed and their life spinning out of control. Signs include tiredness, irritability, lack of focus, apathy, isolation and withdrawal. 

They lose their sense of perspective and as confidence dips they start feeling incompetent or inadequate in their daily roles and responsibilities. The fearfulness and uncertainty it creates can be terrifying.

Why People Get Burnout

As the demands, deadlines and stressors of work and personal responsibilities begin to pile up, it starts eating into relaxation time. Feeling a need to prove yourself, work becomes the only focus and soon, friends, family and personal problems get dismissed. To compensate, you push yourself harder, sleep becomes erratic, eating becomes disrupted and so a cycle of self-neglect ensues. When the demands of work and life are high, and the rewards are low, a sense of helplessness follows – it’s a cycle you feel utterly stuck in.

A Positive Future

Imagine, instead, calming everything down, regaining balance and control of your life. Imagine having the energy to explore other interests so that you can fully enjoy your life and accomplish the dreams and goals that give your life purpose and meaning. Maybe it’s a fresh start that’s required but either way, you deserve to have a life that is joyful and fulfilling while helping your loved ones have the same.


What You Need To Do

You need to stop, take a step back and reassess your life. Make space to take a good hard look at your life and identify the situations that are causing you to feel stressed, anxious, frustrated and helpless.

It may not feel like it just now, but a new perspective will allow you to see this situation as a positive, as it encourages you to re-evaluate your priorities, hopes and dreams. It helps you discover what’s important to you, what makes you happy and what will reignite your passion.

Finally, don’t go it alone. Find a support group or a professional who will help you to realise that you are not alone and together, navigate a new direction.
